MP Govt to launch IFMIS tomorrow

In yet another major step to facilitate employees and pensioners, Madhya Pradesh Government is going to launch Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS). Finance Minister Jayant Malaiya will launch it at Academy of Administration at 11 am on Thursday.

Following implementation of the system, employees and pensioners will get several facilities more easily. Pensioners would no longer be required to appear in person as proof to be living. They would get living certificate through biometric system without visiting pension office. All records of employees from joining service till retirement will be maintained.

Applications can be filed online for GPF, group insurance scheme, family welfare fund, leave encashment, travel allowance bills, medical reimbursement, leave, advance etc. All applications will be sanctioned and tracked online and information will also be given through SMS.

With this, cadre management, promotions, increment process and pension sanction will become online. Pensioners can submit forms online which will be sanctioned online. Pension payment orders can be downloaded at home. All computerised information of sending plan proposals from districts to State Planning Commission will be online. Budget preparations and budget documents will be prepared online. Budget distribution process and re-appropriation, supplementary estimates will also be online.

Through IFMIS, all bills will be generated, presented to treasury and drawing sanction will be online. Accounts of construction works will also be online and computerised. Process of strong room of treasury will be online. Besides, there would also be facility to chalk out report in desired format.

Audits of Accountant General will be online. Facility of all kinds of information and analysis of audits will also be available. Internal and local funds audit and departmental enquiry will be online.

The process of noting on files will also be computerised. The system will maintain corrections, changes, amendments, objections and notes. It would be impossible to change a remark once it is written.

There would be facility for pre-intimation for taking decision, analysis, graphics, estimates, calculation of increase, etc. The system will be integrated with Reserve Bank of India and agency banks. Computerisation of departments will also be integrated.
