MCl CMD AN Sahay on Friday inspected the Rs 5.55-crore lighting arrangements in Puri and complimented the State Government for timely completion of this special project funded by the company under CSR.
Sahay, accompanied by functional directors of MCl JP Singh, PC Panigrahi and KK Parida went around the temple city to review the special project of the Government for system strengthening of the power sector in Puri, Konark and adjacent areas funded by the company.
At least 30 high-mast towers with lED fixtures have been installed along Sea Beach Road, Puri, and lED light system along Puri-Konark Road while 27 old high-mast Metalex 200 watt lED lights along the Puri Grand Road have also been replaced.
Sahay also inaugurated a free food and water distribution stall set up for pilgrims by the MCl in association with the Rotary Club, Puri.
