Monday, 19 January 2015 | Staff Reporter | Bhopal

Under the weekly film screenings, a Kannada movie Pallaki was screened here on Sunday at Abhirang Auditorium, Bharat Bhavan. Pallakki is a 2007 Indian Kannada romantic drama film directed by K Narendra Babu and written by Paramesh. The film stars Prem Kumar and newcomer Ramanithu Chaudhary in the lead roles. The film was produced by P2 Productions.

The film released on May 4, 2007 to generally negative reviews from critics. The film failed commercially at the box-office. The critics commented that the film had poor script and presentation was equally poor. Pallakki revolves around an irresponsible and careless youngster lakshmi, who does not care his parents so much as his own friends. For him, obtaining the approval of his lady love is all the more important than achieving something big in life. He loves Prarthana, but she rejects his love after many interactions with him. She also makes him understand the reality of life.

lakshmi realises his mistakes and tries to involve himself seriously in his father's business. He shows dedication and works hard to achieve success, but all these things he does only to save his love. But finally he understands that his lover is already engaged. What happens later forms the rest of the story. The film was also hugely expected by a large number of audiences who have been a fan of Prem Bandwagon.
