Former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on Friday inaugurated the OCl Eye Cenre at Rajgangpur on Friday. The eye hospital has been established jointly by the OCl India ltd and the lV Prasad Eye Institute.
“It is quite fulfilling to witness the initiation of an eye care centre that aims at reaching out to people at the grassroot level. OCl India ltd and lV Prasad Eye Institute have come together to render Sundargarh blind-free by 2020. It’s overwhelming and heartening to be a part of this noble agenda,” exerted Dr Kalam.
In his speech, OCl India ltd assistant vice-president Kanupriya Dalmia exuded confidence that Centre would help make the district blind free.
Among others Rajgangpur MlA Mangala Kissan and lV Prasad Eye Institute vice-chairman Dr Taraprasad Das were present.
