The social awareness messages like ‘Quit Tobacco’, ‘Smoking is dangerous to health’ and other fun-filled programmes were organised by the students of Patel Group of Institutions here on Friday under State level Techno Cultural Fest Insignia 2015.
The second day of the fest was all about singing, dancing, street plays, lane gaming, health care programme, and gully cricket. The health care awareness camp along with other cultural events was organised under the State level techno cultural event Insignia 2015. Also the students spread awareness about the women empowerment, Sarv Siksha Abhiyan, Swacch Bharat Abhiyan, and other issues. With more than 25 competitions there were as many as 500 participants in various competitions.
The students under singing competition performed Bollywood songs, that left the audience and the judges mesmerised. The competition was held into various rounds, the first round was all about the songs from nineties in which the youngsters performed songs of Mohammad Rafi, lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar. In second round the selected students from round first performed the songs from the millennium on Pop and album tracks of renowned singers. Under dancing competition, the students gave splendid performance. The dance competition was held into two segments group dancing and solo dancing under which the students received much appreciation.
later, a health care camp was organised in which the information about Swine Flu, Ebola Virus, Junk Food Verses Healthy Food and other information was provided. The series of events was followed with gully cricket which was much enjoyed by the students.
As Insignia 2015 is a techno cultural fest, students also presented the technical paper under the technical segment of the programme.
