Haryana to build Prithviraj Chauhan's monument

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal on Sunday announced that a monument of Prithviraj Chauhan would be built at Taraori in Nilokheri Assembly Constituency of Kaithal district.

He also announced that a Research Centre would also be set up at Taraori to conduct research on Prithviraj Chauhan who had made supreme sacrifice for the freedom of the country.

Manohar lal, who was addressing ‘Nilokheri Vikas Rally’ at Taraori in Nilokheri Assembly Constituency on Sunday said that the land

for the same would be

provided by the local residents. He said that the historical land of Taraori is also known as the land of great martyr Prithviraj Chauhan.

The Chief Minister said that during the nine months tenure of the present State Government, this is his second visit to this constituency. His resolve is to serve 2.5 crore people of the State whereas the previous Government had benefitted only near and dear ones. The present State Government would ensure  welfare of all sections of the society and belonging to all religions and region of the state, said he.

Manohar lal said, “The present Government has taken the task to change the decayed system which the present Government has inherited from the previous government. Now work would not be done to grab votes. If the Government has to prioritise the works, preference would be given to the backward, the poor and the downtrodden.”

Two lakh houses would be constructed in the State under the scheme ‘Housing for All’ of the Central Government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that all families in the country would have housing facility by the year 2022, he added.

He said that the Government is soon going to bring a new scheme to provide employment to the youth in the state. We are going to roll out the new Industrial Policy which would not only boost industrialization in the state but would also generate ample opportunities of employment to the youth. With the implementation of this policy, about two lakh youth are expected to get employment, said Manohar lal.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister also announced a slew of incentives for Nilokheri Assembly Constituency which included `28 crore for the repair of 28 roads of the constituency, `14 crore for the construction of 3.5 kilometer long road from Taraori GT road to Gas Agency.

Apart from this, he also announced that road from Nigdu to Karsa would be widened from 5.5 meters to 7.5 meters at a cost of `18 crore . He announced that engineering courses would be started in Guru Brahmanand College and High School at Anjanthali and Dhachar would be upgraded.

He further said that a written communication  has been sent  to Ministry of Railways for the construction of underpass at Railway Bridge Taraori and after getting the approval, the work on the same would be started.

While lauding the contribution of youth in the Armed Forces, the Chief Minister said that though Haryana constitutes only two per cent population of the country, 10 per cent soldiers in the Armed Forces are from Haryana.

He said that a Sainik School would be set up at Matanhail in district Jhajjar. Two sainik schools were already being running at Rewari and Kunjpura, he added.

The Chief Minister added that has been decided to open one medical college in all districts of the state to meet the requirement of doctors. Every year 2,000 new doctors would pass out from these colleges and this would ensure better treatment facilities to the people of the state.

He informed that Kalpana Chawla Medical University would be set up in village Kutail, district Karnal. Similarly, cancer institute would also be set up in district Jhajjar at a cost of `5500 crore.
