: A day after ordering a formal probe into the circumstances under which former Chief Minister Hukam Singh and his kin had to wait for an ambulance for over three hours to be shifted to a hospital in Gurgaon from PGIMS Rohtak, Haryana Government appointed State Director General and Secretary of Medical Education and Research Department Pradeep Kasni to conduct an enquiry into the matter.
“Not satisfied with enquiry sent by Director PGI Rohtak into negligence in providing help to ex CM. Now Pardeep Kasni DG will conduct enquiry,” Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij posted on Twitter.
Hukam Singh was admitted to the PGIMS in Rohtak on February 12 after he complained stomach pain. His family had alleged that they had to wait for more than three hours for an ambulance to shift Hukam Singh from PGIMS Rohtak to Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon.
Hukam Singh breathed his last at 6 pm on Thursday. After his death, Anil Vij had tweeted, “I have ordered an enquiry on why Ambulance and Doctor were not provided to Singh.”
