Union Minister for labour and Training Bandaru Duttatreya has said that the 50-bed ESIC hospital located in Namkum will be converted into a 200-bed super-specialty hospital while the dispensaries of Koderma, Bokaro and Hazaribagh will be converted into a six-bed hospital. The ESIC hospital located at Adityapur in Jamshedpur will also be converted into a 100 bed hospital.
Dattatreya was speaking during a meeting with Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das at his office on Tuesday.
Chief Minister Raghubar Das on the other hand, said that his Government wants to give benefits of labour laws to the 92 per cent labourers of unorganized sector as Jharkhand has become the first state in the field of labour reforms.
World Bank along with the other national and international labour organizations has also praised the efforts taken by the state Government.
According to CM, officials in the labour department have been directed to organize special camps for the registration of unskilled labourers and turn them into skilled labourers after giving them proper training of skill development. The motive behind the idea is to develop those labourers into skilled human resource in order to improve their lifestyle.
The CM also said that the registration of women belonging to the tribal community also is to be done to make them financially independent. “Forest officials have been asked to work on mission mode to ensure welfare schemes meant for the labourers in their respective areas.
