A fourth year student of a city-based private engineering college was found dead with deep head injuries on the road near Chandrasekharpur here on Thursday night.
Sources said the victim, identified as Mahaprasad Swain, had a tussle with some co-students on Thursday during a function at the college. After the fight, he had visited the campus in the evening again. A police patrolling van found Mahaprasad lying on the road in late evening and rushed him to hospital, where doctor declared him brought dead.
Meanwhile, family members of the deceased have alleged that he has been murdered. Police sent the body for postmortem and started investigation into the case.
