Tightening noose around the Block Resource Coordinators (BRC) and Cluster Resource Coordinators (CRC), the DG school education, D Senthil Pandian has asked the Principals of all District Institutes of Education and Training (DIET) to conduct monthly reviews of the activities of BRC and CRC and send them to the Director academic research positively by fifth day of every month. The department would revert back those CRCs and BRCs whose activities are not found satisfactory. It is worth mentioning here that the BRC and CRC are monitoring positions of education department entrusted with task of academic activities of the schools of their areas but in normal practice teachers with political and other connections manage to occupy these positions on deputation. The department tried to create a separate cadre for these posts which was opposed by serving BRC and CRC. The DG has also asked the DIET Principals to identify the training requirements of the teachers of their districts. He has also asked them to send a detailed list to the directorate by June 01. The list would contain the names of the teachers and the training which is needed to be imparted to them.
