Haryana cadre IPS officer S S Deswal has been appointed as the new Additional Director General Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). A 1984 batch officer of the Indian Police Services, Deswal was earlier posted as the Director General of Armed Police, Madhuban in Haryana.
"His services have been placed at Centre's disposal for appointment as Additional Director General, Sashastra Seema Bal on deputation basis for a period of four years from the date of his joining in SSB," an official spokesperson of Haryana government said here on Thursday.
Deswal took over the charge in New Delhi.
