Dehradun WIC India Toastmasters Club meet held

Monday, 02 November 2015 | PNS | Dehradun

With a theme of ‘Gratitude in Attitude’, the 14th meeting of Dehradun World Integrity Centre (WIC) India Toastmasters Club was organised on Sunday.  Speaking on the occasion the President of club, Harry Sethi said, “We should always be grateful for what we have and we are fortunate to be living a life of dignity, happiness and contentment. Many persons, situations and nature have contributed in this. We owe a gratitude to all those contributors”.

Toastmaster of the day, Nidhi Salani, highlighted that gratitude and thankfulness are in the nature and attitude of most persons.  Few people with false ego do not have this quality due to which they are never at peace with themselves and with others.

The meeting started with welcome address of members and guests by Tanushree Salani. Nikhil Negi, Archana and Reshu Singhal delivered their Icebreaker speeches which lasted for 4-6 minutes. Manish Jain delivered his Project 3 speech while Harry Sethi played the role of Parliamentarian ensuring the discipline and decorum of the meeting. Tulika Anthwal was the Table Topic Master. She provided opportunity to 6 speakers to speak for 1-2 minutes on topics randomly picked by them.

The four speakers of the day and impromptu speakers received helpful feedback from the General Evaluator, Rahul Bhatnagar, and his team of Evaluators which consisted of Richa Jain, Harry Sethi, Neha Dhawan and Kabir Ahluwalia. Auxiliary evaluators, Tanushree Salani as Grammerarian,  Mahima Singhal as the Ah Counter and Kamla as the Timer also gave their feedback to each speaker during the meet. The next meeting of the WIC India Toastmasters club will be held on November 8.
