Couple found dead in Indore's hotel room

In a gruesome incident, city police here on Friday afternoon recovered the bodies of a young man and a woman from a city hotel. The incident came to light on Friday afternoon when the hotel management found that the couple that had checked in last night, did not come out of their room till afternoon on Friday.

Finding something fishy, the hotel management informed Chhoti Gwaltoli police about the matter. Soon after receiving information, police immediately reached the hotel, broke open door of the room where the couple were staying and to their utter dismay, found the   couple lying in a pool of blood on the bed.

According to police, the deceased have been identified as Kartik, son of Vimal Khorwal and Kankuri, both residents of Pratapgarh (Rajasthan). On Thursday night at  around 10 pm, both of them introducing themselves as husband and wife had had checked in room no 106 of Hotel Honey Palace located near Sarwate bus stand. As proof of their identity, they had submitted copies of their Adhar Cards to hotel management.

The hotel manager said that they grew suspicious finding that couple had not come out of their room till Friday afternoon. As the room had been locked from inside, they knocked the door repeatedly but no response came in. Finally, the hotel management informed about the matter to Chhoti Gwaltoli police which after arriving at the incident site, broke open door of the hotel room where they couple had stayed and found both of them lying in a pool of blood in opposite directions. Police also recovered a knife from a dustbin lying nearby.

Police suspect that couple initially might have tried to cut veins of their hands and later have consumed poison. During its preliminary report, the police suspect that the couple might have died after consuming poison. However, the final reason of the death would be ascertained only after the postmortem report.

After recovering the bodies, police sent it to postmortem and informed about the matter to the kin of the deceased.
