A case of attempt to murder has been registered against Vikramaditya Singh Judev, brother of BJP Rajya Sabha member Ranvijay Singh Judev.Both Vikramaditya Singh Judev and Ranvijay Singh Judev belong to the royal family of Jashpur.
Vikramaditya Singh had hit a man with his SUV on Monday morning, Superintendent of Police, Jashpur, GS Jaiswal informed.The condition of the victim is critical and has been shifted to Ranchi for better treatment, the SP said adding, Vikramaditya Singh is yet to be arrested.
According to Jaiswal, some property dispute between Vikramaditya Singh and victim Barmeshwar Prasad Gupta could have been the reason of attack. The incident occurred near Madhurika Bhawan, Bhagalpur, Jashpur when Barmeshwar who runs a private school was getting some construction work done on a land which he had purchased from Vikramaditya Singh.
Suddenly, Singh along with two of his supporters reached the spot and started to verbally abuse the victim, the SP said.After the dispute, Vikramaditya Singh hit Barmeshwar with his vehicle and ran away from the spot.
Barmeshwar was rushed to district hospital from where he was referred to Ranchi for better treatment, Jaiswal said.The vehicle used in incident has been seized and police has started searching for accused persons, informed the sources.
