A clerk posted at ADM court in Bhopal was caught accepting bribe of `2,000 by Special Police Establishment of lokayukta on Friday. The clerk had demanded bribe of `12,000 to dispose off a case of prohibitory action taken against the complainant.
Superintendent Police of lokayukta VN Singh told that a complaint was lodged by Rooplal Naagle of Bagh Sewania stating that a case under section 151 of the CrPC was registered against him and to dispose off the case, clerk Ishwar Singh Yadav posted at ADM Bhopal demanded bribe and was caught while accepting bribe. The action was taken after Naagle complained with the lokayukta.
Ishwar Singh Yadav is Head Constable of police department and is posted as clerk with ADM court Bhopal situated at 7 no stop. A case under section 151 (Preventive Action) was registered against Naagale and to dispose off the case, Yadav had demanded bribe of `12,000 and out of the amount, the victim had paid `10,000 and was scheduled to pay `2,000 but later changed his mind and decided to lodge a complaint with the lokayukta.
After receiving the complaint, a trap was laid by the lokayukta officials and nabbed the accused while accepting a bribe of `2,000 at ADM court Bhopal on Friday. A case under section 13 (1) (d) and 13 (2) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 was registered against the accused and further investigation has been started into the matter.
