The event Cine Club has become a fun loving event for the students as it not only gives them a boost in learning a third language, but also creates an interest in understanding it. Alliance Française de Bhopal, the Indo-French cultural center, with the support of French Embassy in India, will organise the screening of a French film "Attila Marcel" by Sylvian Chomet under its programme ‘Ciné-Club’ here on Saturday at its Bhopal center. The screening is open for all and will begin at 6 pm at Alliance Francaise premises.
Directed by Sylvian Chomet, the film was released in 2013 starring with Guillaume Gouix as Paul, Anne le Ny as Mme Proust, Bernadette lafont as Aunt Annie and Hélène Vincent as Aunt Anna. Paul is a sweet man-child, raised – and smothered – by his two eccentric aunts in Paris since the death of his parents when he was a toddler. Now thirty three, he still does not speak. Paul’s aunts have only one dream for him: to win piano competitions. Although Paul practices dutifully, he remains unfulfilled until he submits to the interventions of his upstairs neighbour. Suitably named after the novelist, Madame Proust offers Paul a concoction that unlocks repressed memories from his childhood and awakens the most delightful of fantasies.
