Maharaja Jiwaji Rao Scindia Museum in association with Indian Mouth and Foot Painting Artist (IMFPA) is conducting an interesting art workshop on February 27 to March 1. The workshop is being conducted at the courtyard of Jai Vilas Palace. The workshop aims to enhance the creative knowledge of students. It also aims to teach students how museum can inspire any piece of art.
This inspirational and motivational workshop is on the theme ‘love for animal and birds’. The IMFPA artists, who represent the Indian chapter of an international registered society of disabled artists, run by artists themselves. Unique thing about this workshop is that artists of IMFPA paint with brush held in their mouth and foot.
Four IMFPA artists have been invited in the event, including Manjibhai Ramani being awarded Bajaj Allianz –CNN IBN ‘Super Idol’ award by Salman Khan. Manoj Bhingare was presented with the Rashtriya Blashree Award by former India’s President KR Narayanan, Shella Sharma and Bandenawaz Nadaf.
It’s a small step from Jai Vilas Museum to provide platform to students to express their artistic talent. Many children of various schools and NGOs are approaching the Jai Vilas Museum to be a part of this unique art at unique place.
