Founder of KIIT & KISS Achyuta Samanta has been awarded as a successful entrepreneur, among top 50 Indian entrepreneurs, at the Economic Times (ET) Entrepreneurship Summit 2015 held in New Delhi on Thursday.
He received award from Union Minister for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion Secretary Amitabh Kant.
Dr Samanta from Odisha was also featured him in the summit’s coffee table book. Some other eminent personalities who have featured in the list are Sunil Bharti Mittal, Gautam Adani, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Anil Agarwal, Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao, Nagavara Ramarao Narayana Murthy, Shiv Nadar, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Onkar Kanwar, Karsanbhai Khodidas Patel, Babasaheb Neelkanth Kalyani, Kishore Biyani and Brijmohan lall Munjal.
In another development, Dr Samanta received the Hall of Fame Award at the World CSR Congress held recently in Mumbai. He also delivered a keynote address to 200 corporate leaders of world.
Dr Samanta also presented the KISS Model at the African Head of Mission Summit, where as many as 42 Ambassadors of different African countries were present. All appreciated the model of KISS. They discussed about the model with Dr Samanta and agreed to implement it in some African countries for eradication of poverty through education.
