262 SC-majority villages get Rs52,040l

Bhopal: Union Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry has sanctioned Rs52,040 lakh for development of 262 predominantly scheduled caste villages in Madhya Pradesh. Scheduled castes form over 50 per cent population of these villages. The amount has been sanctioned at the rate of Rs20 lakh for each village. It is noteworthy that Madhya Pradesh has been included in this scheme for the first time. Of the amount sanctioned on the initiative of Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thawarchand Gehlot, Rs44.70 crore has already been released to Scheduled Castes Welfare Department. Remaining Rs7.70 crore will be released soon. Of the villages for which amount has been sanctioned 10 are in Bhopal district, Sehore and Raisen 5 each, Rajgarh 4, Vidisha 7, Gwalior 15, Shivpuri 13, Guna 5, Ashok Nagar 4, Datia 2, Shahdol one, Dindori 4, Hoshangabad one, Betul 3, Harda one, Jabalpur 2, Narsinghpur one, Chhindwara 2, Seoni one, Sagar 4, Damoh 3, Panna 5, Chhatarpur 2, Tikamgarh 3, Sheopur one, Morena 7, Bhind 4, Indore 22, Alirajpur 2, Barwani one, Khandwa 5, Burhanpur 3, Ujjain 40, Dewas 10, Ratlam 27, Shajapur 4, Agar-Malwa 9, Mandsaur 16. Neemuch and Rewa 2 each and 4 villages of Satna district.

 

Shukla reviews scheme implementation

Bhopal: Chairman of General Category Poor Welfare Commission Balendu Shukla reviewed implementation of schemes of the State Government for this section of society here on Thursday. Shukla called for effective implementation of schemes for the general category poor people mainly various scholarship schemes. Review of Swami Vivekananda Pre-matric Scholarship Scheme, Sudama Stipend Scheme, APJ Abdul Kalam scholarship scheme, Vikramaditya Free of Cost Education Scheme for professional courses, Veerangana laxmi Bai Cycle Distribution Scheme, Scheme for Distribution of Free of Cost Text-books, Sandeepani Sanskrit Bhasha Prasar Yojana and Acharya Vidyasagar Gau Samvardhan Yojana was made specially.

 

workshop on holding Youth Parliament held

Bhopal: A one-day workshop on holding Youth Parliament in Madhya Pradesh’s educational institutions was held at Academy of Administration and Management here on Thursday. Union Parliamentary Affairs Secretary Afzal Amanullah, Director General of the Academy Kanchan Jain and state’s Parliamentary Affairs Secretary Rashmi Arun Shami addressed the workshop. The workshop was organised by Pt Kunjilal Dube National Seat of Parliamentary learning. Amanullah said that it is necessary to hold Youth Parliament in educational institutions to apprise young generation of country’s political system and legislation process. Rashmi Arun Shami said that such events help students connect with democratic process. The workshop was informed that economic assistance, guidance and literature also are provided to educational institutions to organise Youth Parliament. About 100 representatives participated in the workshop.

 

Guv felicitates two donors

Bhopal: Governor Ram Naresh Yadav while felicitating Basant Kumar Gade of Jabalpur and Gopal Singhal for maximum voluntary donation to Armed Forces Flag Fund on Armed Forces Flag Day here Thursday said that felicitation of donors for social and army welfare is the biggest asset for them. This treasure should be maintained throughout life without any erosion. He said that felicitation enthuses donors and inspires others. The Governor felicitated social worker Sighal and retired teacher Gade with coconuts and letters of citation. Brig RS Nautiyal introduced Singhal and Gade to the Governor. Principal Secretary to the Governor Ajay Tirkey, Col SR Pillai and officers of Sainik Kalyan Directorate were present on the occasion.

 

BHEl holds competitions to mark Hindi month

Bhopal: Under the aegis of Hindi month 2015, Town administration Department BHEl, Bhopal organised essay, baat mere mann ki, kavita path and many more competitions. Around 164 participants took part in the competitions being held during the month. In a programme held on Thursday at conference hall, TAD department PK Goyal, General Manager, HR, present as the Chief Guest felicitated the winners of the contest accompanied by PK Mishra, AGM, TAD; JR Prajapati, SB Singh, Ernest Bilung, Hareesh Singh Bagwar and all judges of the competitions held were present.
