DC meets bankers for PM Mudra Yojna
Ranchi DC Manoj Kumar convened a meeting with all the bankers of the district to discuss the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna on Thursday. The scheme has been formulated by Centre to help small-scale entrepreneurs. Various schemes were also assessed during this meeting.

Tata Group announced the commencement of the Tata Social Enterprise Challenge 2015-16, jointly with IIM-Calcutta to find India’s most promising early-stage social enterprises. The endeavour of the challenge is to create an ecosystem for social entrepreneurship and encourage sustainable, scalable and measurable social impact. Teams who have an early stage venture or a promising idea can submit their business plans online.
labour Union condemns beating workers
On Thursday, Jharkhand Electricity Supply Technical labourers’ Union strongly condemned the incident of BJP member beating workers at Harmu sub-station. The Union declared that if strict action is not taken within 48 hours, then the workers will agitate against this inaction. This declaration was supported by representatives of several divisions and sub-divisions of Ranchi Electricity Area Board.

Congress state women committee members will celebrate 125 birth anniversary of Jawahar lal Nehru on September 14 at Congress Bhawan. On this occasion felicitation ceremony will be held. The decision was taken by the All India women congress committee members.
Samadhan observes World Suicide Prevention Day
Samadhan, an institution working for mental well-being, observed World Suicide Prevention Day on Thursday. A Suicide Prevention Awareness Programme was organised to mark this occasion. Clinical Psychologist Ishita delivered the programme to gathered teachers about suicide rates among students.
IIM Ranchi wins 4th Deloitte Campus Maverick
The Ranchi Dreamers from IIM Ranchi have won the 4th edition of Deloitte Campus Maverick, the premier case study competition for Business schools in India conducted by Deloitte. The team from Ranchi beat 12 other national finalists in the finals held at the Deloitte Hyderabad Campus on September 4. The team comprised of second year PGDM students at IIM Ranchi. The national winners won a cash award of 3 lakhs.
