Cine personality Gopal Ghosh’s death mourned
Bhubaneswar: The BJP mourned the death of noted Odia actor, producer and director Gopal Ghosh on Friday. BJP State president KV Singh Deo said that besides Odia cinema and entertainment industries, contribution of Ghosh to documentary films is incomparable and his demise has given an irreparable loss to the Odia art industry. Other senior BJP leaders, including Union Minister Dharmendta Pradhan, Prasanna Mishra, Biswabhusan Harichandan, Bijay Mohapatra, Pratap Sarangi, Suresh Pujari, Manmohan Samal, Sarada Prasad Satpathy, Sajjan Sharma and Sameer Mohanty also paid deep condolences to Ghosh.
MGR Smartkids holds annual fest
Bhubaneswar: The MGR Smartkids, a play and nursery school, here, celebrated its 3rd annual function on Tuesday. As chief guest, educationist Dr laxmidhar Tripathy said parents and teachers should value the children’s mindsets and let them enjoy their childhood. He also called upon the students to persistently adore their mothers, mother tongues and their motherland. School chairman Mriganka Chhotray presided over the event in the presence of Principal Mamata Patnaik. Several winning students of various competitions were given prizes.
