Two workers of the Ind-Barath Energy Utkal limited at Sahajbahal in Jharsuguda district sustained serious injuries following a blast due to short circuit in the company’s Turbine Generator (TG) section
on Friday.
Engineer G Chaitanya and technician laxman were rushed to the TRl Hospital. Chaitanya was later referred to the Ispat General Hospital (IGH), Rourkela as his condition deteriorated and no burn unit was available in the district.
later, some angry workers attacked the OEG staffs protesting against the incident. The SDPO was camping at the site with adequate police support to avoid any law and order situation by the angry workers.
