The Budget Sessions of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh legislatures will begin from March 7 at the same premises and officials apprehend that this will create congestion as the place was not sufficient to meet the requirements of the two Assemblies.
AP Assembly will be held in the old building and Telangana Assembly Session will be held in the New Hall.
In view of the problems faced in the past, the Speakers and chairmen of both the Assemblies and the councils will hold a joint meeting to discuss the arrangements with the top police and civil officials.
According to the police sources, Gate No. 1 of the building will be used by the Chief Ministers and Ministers of the two States and Gate No. 2 will be used by MlAs and MlCs and other officials.
The media persons and visitors will be asked to use the third gate.
Interestingly, ESl Narasimha, Joint Governor of both the State will address both the legislative Assemblies on the first day of the Session separately.
Telangana Government was likely to present its Budget on March 11 followed by AP's Budget next day. For both the States it will be the first full-fledged Budget.
AP is likely to present a Budget of Rs1.25 lakh crore and Telangana's Budget is likely to be bigger than Rs1 lakh crore.
With revenue deficit of Rs20,000 crore, AP Government is facing a tough challenge of mobilising additional resources. Telangana State on the other hand is in a comfortable position with a revenue surplus.
