With still a week to go for the Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal on Friday went a step ahead and openly declared himself the Chief Minister of Delhi. While he first tweeted that AAP was “definitely” forming the Government during a rally in Rohtas Nagar, he said, “I resigned on February 14 and exactly a year later on February 15, I will take the oath as CM once again.”
With the election fervour at its peak, the BJP has been targeting the former Chief Minister vigorously. However, Kejriwal has been openly declaring that the BJP is “already behaving like the Opposition”. On Friday morning, Kejriwal, in fact, tweeted asking volunteers to stay put and not get influenced by “evil forces”. He said, “To all AAP volunteers and supporters, evil forces will try to divert your attention. But please stay focused on positive agenda for Delhi. AAP is forming Government in Delhi. Get ready to serve Delhi and to make it safe for women.”
Further during his rallies on Friday, he announced that he would take oath as the CM on February 15 which was one year after he resigned. Meanwhile, to push forward his campaign, Kejriwal on Friday even used the Purvanchali card to get votes. He tweeted, “AAP gives 11 tickets to Purvanchalis. Three by BJP. Purvanchalis feel they been given respect and equal participation for first time by any party.”
