Renuka B Salwan, a PR professional of over 28 years of experience in strategic communication, and earlier the deputy director public relations with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Northern Regional Office, Chandigarh, has been elevated to the post of director public relations of BIS at New Delhi.
She would be heading the PR department of India’s apex national body for promoting standardisation and quality certification of goods.
Recipient of Desh Sewa Rattan award for professional excellence, Hall of Fame in Public Relations and International Women’s Day Awards-2013, she is a member of many prestigious professional organisations apart from being the chairperson of Chandigarh chapter of Public Relations Council of India and is an alumnus of School of Communications Studies, Punjab University, Chandigarh.
