The aspiring youngsters showcased their acting skills before the faculty members of Madhya Pradesh School of Drama (MPSD) in an audition held here on Friday.
Notably, an audition is being organised for the aspiring students who showcased their acting skills before the faculty members of MPSD. As many as 65 students from various cities of the country were present to give the auditions.
Moreover, under the selection committee faculty members like Satish Anand, laeeq Hussain, Alok Chatterjee, Kanhaiyalal Kaithwas and Sanjay Upadhyay were present. The audition would conclude on Saturday.
Notably, the auditions are being held for the selection of appropriate candidate for the session 2014 -15. The selection committee watched their performance with rapt attention and marked them accordingly. In the first round of the audition the participants performed individually over the scripts they prepared themselves. For the second session of the audition that would be held on Saturday the selection committee divided the participants into groups and asked them to come prepared on different topics.
Director of MPSD Sanjay Upadhaya informed that the students would be selected by the special committee of MPSD. They will be marked on their performances that they have given on first and second day of the auditions.
He further informed that this is the first round of auditions and the second round would be held on June 10 and 13. While talking about the second round he said that participants who have been selected in the first round they will get a chance to perform in second audition. He also said that the accommodation and travelling facilities would be provided to the students from MPSD.
Noticeably, the session of MPSD would begin from July 16 in which 25 students would be selected for the diploma course which is for a year. Further, a scholarship of Rs 5000 per month would be given to the suitable candidate as well.
