Though the parents are allegedly purchasing school uniforms, including shoes, from certain shops in the market, the management of the Queens Public School in Haldwani has rejected alleged reports of its involvement in the sale of school shoes as appeared in a local newspaper here.
We reject all such charges as have been levelled by a local daily against us, maintained RP Singh, head of the Queens Public School, while talking to The Pioneer. We are working only as per the laid- down norms. If there is any evidence of any such thing happening we are open to probe, he added.Singh informed that his school management has served a notice to the aforesaid newspaper management for publishing such ‘baseless’ reports against the institution.
Notably, according to the Government's rule, no school management can involve itself in sales of uniforms or books or shoes. But reports of some parents allegedly being asked by the school management to purchase school uniforms or books from certain shops coming to light off and on are proving embarrassing for the school management.
There are other complaints too. The parents say there is as such no regulation regarding the limit of fees’ structure in the private schools. Such complaints assume significance in view of the fact that a majority of the children are today enrolled in private schools.
