The Energy and Resource Institute (TERI) launched its premier project Climate Credit Pilot Project (C2P2) at a workshop organised in the premises of Paradip Phosphates limited (PPl), here on Friday.
Paradip ADM Dr Ramakrishna Sahu and Senior Engineer of the Odisha State Control Board’s Nihar Ranjan Sahu graced the occasion as guests.
A knowledge team from TERI led by its Director (Social Transformation) IH Rehman discussed various aspects of Cleaner Cooking Technology and the adaptability of Integrated Domestic Energy System (IDES) in reducing pressure on fossil fuel and health hazards of women.
The C2P2 is being implemented in the PPl’s project villages as part of the latter’s CSR initiative.
Earlier on the day, a field-level programme was organised in Santara village of Mangarajpur gram panchayat where 30 deserving families were given IDES.
Among others, DP Singh, VP(O), Dr Suvendu Das, VP(HR), PK Panda, GM(P&A), senior PPl executives and representatives from the IOCl and the Goa Carbon also participated in the programme.
