Madhya Pradesh police has taken initiative to train its officers for investigating cyber crime. The training imparted to the officers in this regard would help solve the cyber crimes and identifying cyber criminals. In this modern era of information technology revolution the cyber forensic cell of the police plays very important role.
Technical training is essential for the police personals for effective investigations, said Madhya Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Nandan Dube while addressing the concluding session of the police officers training here at the cyber cell office.
Dube said, “The only virtual training centre in the country has been established in the cyber cell of the Madhya Pradesh police. A separate server has been erected here for the training purpose and computers are available here for providing training to 20 police personals at a time besides computers and software are available for detecting cyber crimes. Very soon latest software would be made available to the cyber cell that would help getting programme software data of different companies.”
Additional Director General of Police – Cyber Cell (ADGP) Ashok Dohre while providing details of the training programme said, “40 Police officers from the rank of Inspector to Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) participated in the training.”Dohre furthers aid that these officers were made aware about the crimes through mobile and computer and were taught the ways of collecting data to solve them.He said a special drive would be launched for the students of schools of the state to educate them about the precautions to be adopted while using mobile and computer.
For this a short film has also been made. This drive would help students staying way from doing cyber crime by mistake and would also make them aware from becoming victim of the cyber crime, he added.
