Energy Minister Rajendra Shukla will be guest of honour at International Solar Energy conference to be held in Munich city of Germany from June 1 to 6. As many as 2,000 representatives of 150 countries would participate in the conference to be held to promote energy industries.
Besides, about 50,000 spectators will witness techniques to be displayed there. Objective of the conference is to increase share of solar energy in power supply. Energy Minister Shukla has left for Munich to participate in the conference.Over 1,000 institutions will display their products at an exhibition to be held at ground of over 90 thousand square meters in New Munich Trade Fair Centre.A delegation from India comprising representatives of Governments, developers and investors will also participate in it. It is noteworthy that solar energy sector in Madhya Pradesh is growing at a rapid pace.
Maximum solar power plants in the country numbering 306 have been set up in the State in the year 2013-14.Work is underway on 118 projects of 1,449 MW capacity. About 450 MW projects are expected to be set up this year. A large number of proposals are being made to set up solar energy plants in Madhya Pradesh, which will be a pioneer State in the country in the years to come.
Energy Minister Rajendra Shukla has been invited by CEO of International Solar Conference Europe, Munich to the conference and exhibition in view of increasing influence of solar energy in Madhya Pradesh. Additional Chief Secretary Renewable Energy SR Mohanty will also take part in the conference.
