The Uttarakhand Meteorological Centre has forecast light rainfall in plain districts and light to moderate rainfall at isolated places in the higher reaches on Saturday. The State Capital experienced cloudy sky followed by strong winds during evening hours which brought some relief to the residents from the heat.
Doon residents experienced heat during morning hours but were relieved due to cloudy sky followed by strong winds during evening hours. Uttarakhand Meteorological Centre director Anand Sharma said that plain districts may receive light rainfall from Friday evening and rain is expected to continue on Saturday. light to moderate rain with snowfall has been forecast at higher reaches on Saturday.
He further said that the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 38.3 degree C and 23.7 degree C, respectively, in Dehradun on Friday. The weather forecast for Dehradun on Saturday is generally cloudy sky with possibility of light rain/ thunder showers at isolated places. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 33 degree C and 23.7 degree C respectively on Saturday in Dehradun. The weather forecast for Uttarakhand on Saturday is light to moderate rain / thunder showers at few places in hills and light rain/ thunder showers at isolated places in the rest of Uttarakhand, he added.
