A meeting for finalising plan for new a Congress Bhawan building proposed in the posh Shankar Nagar locality of the city could not make much headway due to absence of the certain members of the committee constituted by the Congress party for managing the project.
Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) president Bhupesh Baghel had called the meeting of ‘Bhawan Nirman Samiti’ for discussing the new Congress Bhawan proposed at Shankar Nagar on Friday.Party sources informed that Mayor Kiran Mayee Nayak, MlA Gurumukh Singh Hora, Ramgopal Agrawal, Shiv Singh Thakur, Suresh Mishra and Girish Dewangan were present in the meeting while other members including Rajkamal Singhania, Gajraj Pagariya, Arun Singhania and Subhash Ghuppad could not make it to the meeting.
Party sources said architect RK Gupta has come up with the concept for the building which was discussed by the members. They suggested some changes in the plan adding few more concepts should be taken from few of other architects as well.Party sources confirmed that Vastu Shastra would be considered while designing the new ‘Congress Bhawan’ in the city.
The sources further revealed that placement of chambers including those of CGPCC president, treasurer, general secretary, media cell, conference room, along with separate rooms for Mahila Congress, National Student Union of India (NSUI), Youth Congress were discussed during the meeting.
