Scientists and language experts participated in a meet on Hindi and science organised at the Indian Institute of Petroleum in Dehradun on Thursday. Inaugurating the meet, senior scientist Dr SM Nanoti expressed hope that the knowledge they gain at the institute would motivate them to act in the future. The programme coordinator and IIP Raj Bhasha division in-charge DC Chamola said that scientists should write their scientific papers in Hindi which will boost science writing in Hindi, he said. Scientists made presentations on various issues including crude oil opportunities, bitumen production from asphalt rock, bio fuel from algae and energy products among others issues.
