After good response to Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI), the Punjab Government is all set to make functional a similar institute for girls —Mai Bhago Institute Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MBIAFPI) — from the next academic session.
“These institutes are my dream projects to restore the pristine glory of gallantry services rendered by Punjabis in the armed forces, which has gradually faded away with the passage of time,” said Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal while addressing the cadets undergoing training in MRSAFPI.
He said that these institutes would surely go a long way in grooming the boys and girls from the State to join Armed forces thereby making every Punjabi proud. Badal envisioned showcasing MRSAFPI as a world class institution in view of its growing popularity in the country being the best training institute for the cadets desirous of joining Armed Forces as their career. “It is a matter of great satisfaction and honor for the Punjabis that as many as 23 cadets have been selected in NDA from Punjab during the current year,” said Badal.
