Putting an end to the suspense whether construction work of the New Jharkhand Assembly to take place through Greater Ranchi Development Authority (GRDA) or State Building Construction Department, Speaker Shashank Shekher Bhokta during a meeting with Chief Secretary Sajal Chakraverty on Friday decided that the GRDA will provide the required land for the construction work to the department following which construction of boundary wall will be started by department immediately.
The Speaker on Friday was holding meetings with different department heads on various issues and directed them to take steps in this regard.Expressing concern over the poor condition of roads in the rural areas of the state, the Speaker directed the Department of Rural Works and Rural Development to take steps and ensure proper connectivity to each and every village of the state to the respective main roads of the area.
The Speaker said that more than 200 such villages have been identified in Deoghar only, he directed the officials present there to get such villages identified by the respective Deputy Commissioners so that they could be connected well with the nearest roads.The Speaker also paving way for Sikatia Eco-Tourism Park near Ajay Barrage, directed that the project will be prepared by Department of Forest and Environment. The Chief Secretary along with the concerned department heads will visit Sikatia village.
In a separate meeting held in the light of a letter written by the Home department on the issues of security of Jharkhand Assembly, the Speaker directed that the SBI bank, ticket counter located near the Committee Hall, to be shifted to F-1 block near gate number 2 from due to security reasons.
