Former Home Minister of Haryana and Independent MlA from Sirsa City, Gopal Goyal Kanda, who had withdrawn his support from Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s Government recently, launched his own political party at Gurgaon on Friday.
While addressing a gathering at the head office of the newly formed ‘Haryana lokhit Party’, Kanda said, “It is an alternative to the existing political system, and his party would work to end dynastic politics, casteism and regionalism in politics and work for the development of the state.”
Kanda said that the State has remained behind in education, health and trade due to dynastic politics and added that his new party would be opposed to it.
Kanda, who is facing trial in the abetment to suicide case of air-hostess Geetika Sharma is out on bail these days. However, Congress spokesperson Hoshiari lal Sharma, who belongs to Sirsa area, told The Pioneer that Kanda’s new party would have no impact on state politics. Giving the examples of several senior Congress leaders in Haryana who formed their own fledgling parties in futility, he proved his point. Bansi lal, who formed ‘Haryana Vikas Party’, had to suffer and later returned to Congress.
