The Congress party will review its performance in the just concluded lok Sabha polls after the end of the first Parliamentary session beginning on June 4, a senior party leader here said on Friday.
The Congress high command will examine the cause of the party’s debacle in different States including Chhattisgarh. After that the party high command will carry out the necessary reshuffle in the organisation.The first Parliamentary Session will commence on June 4 and will continue until June 12. After that, the party will hold a nation-wide review on the outcome of the election results. Sources said the Congress has not able to overcome the shock it received because of its humiliating, worst and all time record defeat in the polls.
After the end of the lok Sabha session, all general secretaries In-charge of states will reach Delhi with their reports on the party debacle in their respective regions.
After that the party is likely to effect a reshuffle in party organization. It may also take steps to strengthen the party in different states including in Chhattisgarh where it managed to get only one of State’s 11 lok Sabha seats Some party leaders believe, the central leadership may effect some changes in the State organisation before the elections for local and urban bodies in Chhattisgarh which would be held within the next six months.
