PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in association with Union Ministry of New and Renewal Energy organised a daylong conference on ‘Green Buildings and Building Rating Systems’, here on Friday.
While welcoming the guests and participants RG Dwivedi Regional Director, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry highlighted the importance of the energy saving through use of energy saving materials and designs in construction of buildings.He explained that Green Buildings have the potential to save 30 to 40 per cent energy.
Chief Guest of the conference AK Pandey, Chairman Private University Regulatory Commission of MP said that the subject of using Green Building & Materials should be included in the course curriculum so that students may learn the benefits energy efficient resources.
Sushil Prakash, MD Sun Carrier Omega Pvt ltd Bhopal deliberated in detail about the concept of Green Building by giving the case study of his residential cum commercial building which is based on concept of ‘Net Zero Energy Building’ and has been recipient of many awards.Other expert faculties viz Azad Jain, Structural Consultant, G Venkatesh Architect and Urban Planner, Sapan Shah Director Shah Marketing, Namdeo Patil Asst General manager Daikin Air Conditioning India Pvt ltd and Shahab Z Ahmed delivered the technical inputs for energy saving products in buildings.
They said that nearly 4 per cent of energy can be saved by using energy efficient materials. The conference was well attended by different Govt. and Private departments and Institutes like: BDA, HUDCO, Town & Country Planning, EPCO, MP Pollution Control Board, MP Police Housing Corporation, MP Tourism, Real Estate Developers, Architects, IIFM, SPA, MANIT and NITTR etc.
