Chief Minister Raman Singh on Friday dedicated and performed bhumi pujan and laid foundation stone of various construction works costing Rs17.24 crore in Korba, the industrial district of Chhattisgarh.
Addressing a massive public meeting, the Chief Minister said that the State Government had been working for the progress and prosperity of all categories, including people of the last line of the society. Several public facilities had been developed in villages and cities. The positive effect of the schemes of the State Government could clearly be seen, he added.
The Chief Minister said that he got the opportunity to form Government for the third time and to serve people because of the great love, co-operation and support of the people of the State. During the third term of the State government, more rapid development works would be done in the State, he added.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister dedicated five completed buildings costing Rs5.13 crore, including Sarvamangal Bhandar Grih constructed by Korba Municipal Corporation with a cost of Rs2.66 crore, local Fund Audit Office building costing Rs31.69 lakh, District Trade and Industry Centre office building costing Rs87.20 lakh, Gram and Nagar Nivesh regional office building costing Rs48.47 lakh.
Singh laid foundation stone for the upgradation work of 10-km Korba-Jalke road costing Rs10.83 crore and for a 50-seater hostel building for girls ITI in Korba costing Rs1.28 crore.He also dedicated the Naveen Vidyalaya building of Saraswati Shishu Mandir.Health Minister and District In-charge minister of Korba, Amar Agrawal and MP Dr Banshilal Mahto also addressed the function. District Panchayat president Shakuntala Kanwar, Mayor Jogesh lamba, MlA lakhan Devangan, former Deputy Speaker of Chhatisgarh Assembly Banvarilal Agrawal, Collector Reena Babasaheb Kangale, SP Amresh Mishra, peoples’ representatives, officers and prominent citizens were present in the function.
