Chouhan also reviewed 100-day action plans of the departments. He said that Dial-100 scheme for strengthening internal security
should be started by November 1. A mechanism should be evolved to give strict punishment to cyber criminals harassing women. Coordinated efforts should be undertaken with other departments for traffic management in cities. Security arrangements should be made for passengers on highways. like last year, preparations for disaster management should be made this year also. Prosecution process in heinous crimes against women should be initiated within 15 days.
Proposal should be chalked out for police personnel’s accommodations. Condition of CCTV cameras should be incorporated in permission for new buildings. Ensure security arrangements around mandis. Training should be imparted to police personnel for Simhastha 2016, he directed.
Reviewing Jail Department, the Chief Minister directed to use modern techniques for improving arrangements in jails. Jails should have CCTV cameras.
Hearing of cases of accused in heinous crimes should be undertaken through video-conferencing. Vacancies in jail should be filled up.
It was informed in the meeting was informed that 20 thousand police personnel will be deployed in Simhastha 2016. Preparations for their training have started. CCTV cameras have been installed at 64 places in Bhopal and will be installed at 400 more places. Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System will be launched to collect data about crimes and criminals through modern techniques. Separate police force will be deployed for law & order and investigation.
