Bajrang Dal holds meet on 'love jihad' in Doon

Monday, 08 September 2014 | PNS | Dehradun

Activists of the Bajrang Dal held a meeting in Dehradun on Sunday and decided to campaign against ‘love jihad’. The VHP leader Mahendra Singh Negi said, “Some narrow-minded members of a minority community were luring the unemployed youth of their own community to entice Hindu girls into marriage and then religious conversion. Such people are targeting young Hindu women from the socio-economically weaker sections of society,” he said.

Bajrang Dal city coordinator Amit Tomar said that such devious campaigns will not be tolerated. A rally to protest against ‘love jihad’ will be taken out in the State capital next Saturday. He informed, “On October 2, the Bajrang Dal will launch its special ‘Jatayu’ force which will consist of 20 motorcycles with two activists each. This group will patrol around schools and colleges, keeping an eye on suspicious elements,” he said.
