A noted artist of the city, Moinuddin Siddiqui, will put up the collection of paintings at Swaraj Vithika (Swaraj Art Gallery), Ravindra Bhawan premises here on Saturday.
The painting exhibition ‘Replica 2’ is being organised by Aadakar Organisation of drama and culture, the exhibition would be on view till Sunday at the gallery. Notably, artist M Siddiqui is one of the renowned painter of the city and has achieved much appreciation for his rare art works.
After being hit by paralytic attack, most of his body parts stopped working. Even the doctors declared the attack as the most severe one. There were very less chances of recovery and so the specialist at Mumbai advised Moinuddin for physiotherapy and not to give up the artist in him.
After being inspired by many painters, Moinuddin started to paint his inner perceptions on the canvas.
On asking about the themes he paints, Moinuddin said, “I strongly believe in love. It is the feeling which joins many hearts together. The feeling of intimacy makes the world look more beautiful. So, most of my paintings portray the feeling of love between two lovers.” One could see a king and a queen together, or Mira singing praises of lord Krishna or Salim and Anarkali and many more.
Bringing all his imagination on canvas, filling shades in them, adorning it with vibrant colours, Moinuddin started to work as a painter only with one working hand. His will power is commendable in every way and now with continuous efforts he is putting up another series of his paintings as Replica 2. Earlier too he had displayed the paintings in an exhibition Replica which was much appreciated by the spectators.
He usually does figurative work and filling the colours of his imagination he creates enchanting effects to the paintings. The exhibition would conclude on Sunday.
