In a bid to bring essential changes in the prevailing education system, Akhil Bharat Shiksha Adhikar Manch and Chhattisgarh Ayojan Samiti are jointly taking out a rally named as ‘Akhil Bharat Shiksha Sangharsh Yatra–2014’.
“The rally started from Manipur on November 2 this year and passed through Mizoram, Kolkata, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and other states. In its six days journey through Chhattisgarh, the rally entered Jashpur district on November 22 and reached Raipur today” informed Comrade Janaklal Thakur, a member of the Organizing Committee.
The rally will reach Rajnandgaon district on November 27 and will conclude in Bhopal on December 4, said Thakur here in a press conference on Tuesday.He added that aim behind taking out the rally is to catalyze the movement on national level for equal and standardized education to all from KG to PG level, stop commercialization and privatization of education system besides stopping direct and indirect foreign investment in the field of education.
The rally also aims to mount pressure on the authorities concerned to consider their various demands to improve quality of the education in government institutions and ensure proper implementation of ‘Right to Education’.
Akhil Bharatiya Krantikari Vidyarthi Sangthan, Chhattisgarh Mukti Morcha, Nadi Ghati Morcha, Jagrook Nagrik Manch, Krantikari Sanskratik Manch and various other organizations extended their support for success of the rally.
