In a new twist to teleshopping MD suicide case, the city police have registered a case of abetting suicide against wife of the deceased, Shilpa Chandani, her relatives Komal Chandari, Pankaj, Pushpa Sharma, Aniruddh Singh Rathore, Jasbir Singh, Amit Singh Jadon and lokendra Singh Chouhan.
The case of abetting suicide against the accused have been registered three days after MD of a teleshopping company Umang Singh Parihar committed suicide at his residence in Shraddhashree Colony. While committing suicide, the deceased had also left a suicide note, holding his wife responsible for the incident.
Vijay Nagar Police which had been probing into the matter for the past two-three days registered a case of abatement of suicide against decesed's wife and her relatives last night, said that the accused would be arrested soon. According to report, the deceased Umangh Singh, who was the MD of a teleshopping company was forced to marry his associate Shilpa Chandani in January this year after she registered a case of rape against him.
Sometime back, Shilpa threatened her to implicate him a false case of kidnapping. Since then, Umang was reeling under stress and depression, prompting him to hang himself to death at his residence in Shraddhashree Colony on March 28. Apparently, shocked over the incident, the deceased's family members had accused Shilpa and her family members of blackmailing Umang on petty issues.
They alleged that Shilpa by luring Umag had become CEO of the tele-shopping company and continued with inflicting mental torture on Umang. A few days before Umang committed suicide, Shilpa had gone missing from her residence, holding Umang responsible for her kidnapping, police said adding that all this made Umang depressed to such an extent that he could not further bear the allegation and finally hanged himself to death.
