Choudhury gets Jyotish Brihaspati Award
Bhubaneswar: Noted Odia astrologer Dr Pradeep Kumar Choudhury has been nominated for the Jyotish Brihaspati Award to be given by the International Astro Foundation (IAF) and the Education Growth Society (EGS) on June 1 in Ahmadabad. A devotee of Siridi Saibaba, Choudhury has written many research books on astrology and successfully predicted the general election results this time. Choudhury too will participate in a national level seminar on ‘Outstanding contribution to national economic and social development’ on June 1.
Summer camp for Petit Infoscions concludes
Bhubaneswar: The 12-daylong summer camp for Petit Infoscions being organsied by Infosys concluded here at its Bhubaneswar Development Centre on Friday. More than 44 Petit Infoscions aged between 3-10 years took part in camp and learned various skills on swimming, dancing, yoga, art and craft, music, speaking skills, fun games, eco quiz and talent show. “Engaging children during their summer holidays is an extremely difficult task for working parents. We wanted to address this issue for Infoscions and came up with the idea of hosting summer camps,” said Infosys Bhubaneswar Centre head Pramod Prakash Panda.
Two more PNB ATMs opened in twin cities
Bhubaneswar: The Punjab National Bank (PNB) on Thursday launched an ATM at Mahanadi Bihar in Cuttack and another at Baramunda in Bhubaneswar. The bank’s General Manager PK Sharma inaugurated the ATMs in the presence of Bhubaneswar Circle Head SK Dokania. The PNB has now presence in all the districts of the State with 159 branches and 151 ATMs. Of this, PNB Bhubaneswar Circle comprising 12 districts has 104 branches and 109 ATMs.
