Meanwhile, a logo for the State has been finalised by KCR and it has been sent to the Governor for his approval. The logo has two famous monuments of Telangana, Kakatiya arch and Charminar with Government of Telangana written in English, Telugu and Urdu. The green color logo has been designed by Telangana artist Aelay laxman.
While Kakatiya arch represents the powerful Kakatiya dynasty which ruled between 12 and 14th century, the 16th century monument Charminar is the symbol of Qutub Shahi dynasty, which ruled over Golconda and founded Hyderabad. Below the circular logo ‘Satyameva Jayathe’ is written. National emblem ‘Sarnath Pillar lions’ is centre aligned on the top.
The demand for inclusion of Charminar in the logo was made by MIM but opposed by the BJP.
