Following unwillingness of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to include incidents of his life in school curriculum, the State Education department has decided to scarp the idea to include Modi’s life in the same on Friday.
Gujarat’s Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, who earlier had announced the State Government’s intention to include important chapter of Modi’s life in the syllabus of primary schools, confirmed that the idea has been dropped. In fact, the idea to include Modi’s life was to inspire children to adapt qualities like leadership to shape their career. However, the PM expressed displeasure over the move.
“The Prime Minister called me today morning and told me it is not appropriate to include life events of a living person in the school syllabus. He was not happy with the idea. He asked us not to go ahead with that project,” said the Education Minister.
