The three accused involved in the killing of two brothers in Bawana are notorious extortionists of Neeraj Bawana gang, including Pankaj Bawana, the brother of notorious criminal Neeraj Bawana, who have a penchant for shooting at the slightest pretext.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the four assailants identified are Pankaj Bawana, Deepak alias Katia, Rahul Dabas alias Kala, Ravi alias Monia Pehlwan, killed Sahab Singh and Kaptan Singh — the two brothers — just to spread terror among locals that they brooked no resistance. The double murder committed by these trigger-happy criminals, who have been given a free run by the sloth and questionable approach of the local police.
Sources said initial investigation has revealed that the white Skoda Fabia which was used in the crime is registered in the name of Pankaj Bawana, a resident of Bawana village and allegedly involved in several cases of extortion. “Seven cases of extortion, attempt to murder and Arms Act were registered against Pankaj Bawana in several police stations of Outer Delhi and he is running his extortion and land grabbing racket in Outer Delhi and Bahadurgarh,” police sources informed.
Sources added that Neeraj Bawana, who allegedly extorted businessmen, had been granted interim bail till December 15, but he has jumped bail early December. Neeraj had allegedly made an extortion call to Jaswant Rana, an MlA from Najafgarh. “Another accused Ravi alias Monia Pehlwan was earlier arrested in 2013 along with Bali Pehlwan, the elder brother of Rahul alias Kala for allegedly facilitating the escape of notorious criminal Vikas laggarpuria from Dwarka court where he was being produced for trial,” police sources added.
After the incident, all the identified four accused are absconding and several teams formed to nab all the accused. “Narks of Crime Branch and Special Cell have also sent their teams to Bahadurgarh and Rohtak. Several raids are being conducted by different teams of Delhi Police in various areas of Rohtak, Outer Delhi and Bahadurgarh to nab the absconding the culprit persons,” the sources added.
