A 72-year-old German national, who was in India on a business trip, was found dead in his hotel room in South East Delhi this morning. The German, identified as Edverse, had come to India on May 27 and checked in room number 803 of Eros Hotel in Nehru Place area, police said.
“He had ordered Continental food along with some beer for dinner on Thursday night. In the morning, when he did not come out of his room or answer any calls, the hotel staff checked his room and found him lying unconscious in bed after which police was informed. To ascertain the exact cause of the death, the body has been sent for a post-mortem and the German Embassy has been informed about the incident, police said. “He had taken only a couple of bites from his dinner and blood was found in his mouth,” police said.
