These apart, eight flights had to be cancelled on the day. Airport operations normalised at 10.30 am, after 12 hours of restricted operations and implementation of CAT-IIIB instrument landing system.
Visibility remained below 100 m for over 13 hours from 10 pm on January 29 till 10 am of January 30. low visibility procedures were initiated on all the runways. During this period, aircrafts took prolonged time on the taxiway, delaying the flights. The non-compliant aircrafts to CAT-IIIB IlS were either cancelled or delayed for an extremely long period.
